Etienne WURTZ

Dr. hab. , CEA Fellow​

After a degree in civil engineering, he obtained his doctorate from the Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées with a thesis on air flows in large buildings.

He obtained his habilitation in 2003 on multi-scale modeling of buildings with intermediate finesse levels.

He has co-authored over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and holds 6 patents​

Research Activities​

​Etienne Wurtz's research ac​tivities focus on the decarbonization of energy networks.

To this end, he is working on a systemic approach integrating building energy efficiency, solar integration, energy storage and solar mobility to exploit the flexibility of the energy mix.​
