NanoREACH

Liten offers a unique combination of know-how in nanosafety and nanocharacterization and can provide companies with the physico-chemical analyses they need for their REACH filings. As a research organization, Liten studies dispersion and catalytic and photocatalytic activity methods.

Liten's NanoREACH services are delivered in several stages:

  • 1. The substance of interest is tested to see if it is considered to be in nanoform according to REACH.
  • 2. The characterization needed to complete the REACH filings is completed; the descriptions of the analysis methods and the information required depending on the amount of the substance produced or imported are provided.

  • 3. An estimate of exposure throughout the lifecycle is determined and characterization of emissions for all activities for dangerous substances as defined in the CLP regulation or considered persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) or very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB).
  • 4. The lifecycle unique to substances in nanoform is factored in.

Liten's strengths:

Liten uses the equipment at the Nanosafety Platform and the Nanocharacterization Platform on the CEA Grenoble campus and leverages the expert knowledge of in-house R&D scientists and engineers and internal and external partners.
